The Vallejo Police Department says a felon who was found to have weapons and body armor has been arrested.
On February 2, 2025, an officer assigned to the Vallejo Police Department Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on a 2022 Dodge Charger with no license plates near Highway 80 and Tennessee Street.
The driver, an adult male, provided a valid California driver’s license. A records check revealed he had a no-bail felony warrant for a probation violation related to a weapons offense out of Contra Costa County. The officer detained the driver and secured him in the back of a patrol vehicle. The records check also confirmed that the driver is a convicted felon whose probation terms prohibit him from possessing firearms, ammunition, weapons, explosives, or body armor.
Before towing the male’s vehicle, officers conducted a probation search and located two body armor vests, a replica firearm, a conducted energy device, a baton, and a box of ammunition.
After being Mirandized, the male admitted to possessing the prohibited items, claiming he worked as a security guard and provided his work credentials.
The male was subsequently booked into the Solano County Jail, the court-ordered prohibited items were entered into evidence, and the vehicle was towed.
Vallejo Police did not identify the male.
Arrest Made After Cement Crashes
On February 3, 2025, Vallejo PD responded to a vehicle theft in progress at a business on the 1800 block of Broadway Street.
An adult male suspect stole a yellow cement truck, crashed through a roll-up door, and caused approximately $50,000 worth of property damages before leading officers on a short pursuit. Due to public safety concerns, the pursuit was canceled as the suspect continued driving recklessly, running red lights, and driving into oncoming traffic.
The stolen truck was later found crashed into a utility pole near Alabama Street and El Dorado Street. Community members provided critical information, leading officers to a nearby residence. A perimeter was established, and officers conducted a “surround and callout.” Despite the suspect refusing to cooperate, he was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
A records check confirmed that the suspect had two arrest warrants for probation violation and a restraining order violation out of Pleasant Hill and Nevada, California. He was booked into Solano County Jail on multiple felony charges, and the cement truck was returned to the business.
