Bigfoot Could Become California State Cryptid

by CC News
Chris Rogers

With everything going on in the State of California right now, Assemblyman Chris Rogers (D-Santa Rosa) introduced a bill to make Bigfoot as the official state cryptid.

According to AB 666, which is one line:

Existing law establishes the state flag and the state’s emblems, including, among other things, the golden poppy as the official state flower and the California redwood as the official state tree.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would designate Bigfoot as the official state cryptid.

A cryptid is a creature that people believe exists but that has not been proven to exist

Over the years, Bigfoot has allegedly been sighted in California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington.
