On Thursday morning, several people were detained during a SWAT operation in the City of Antioch linked to a robbery in Oakland.
The incident began just after 6:00 am at Via Dora near Golden Bear where Antioch Police and the Pittsburg Police Department SWAT teams were assisting the Oakland Police Department conduct a search warrant at a home.
According to preliminary information released on scene, the incident stems from an armed robbery in the City of Oakland and Antioch was asked to assist. Multiple subjects were detained and multiple firearms were located inside the home.
No other information has been released on the incident and the Oakland Police Department was still investigating. No information was released on the robbery, when it occurred and if the suspects were Antioch residents.
