Richmond, CA – RYSE invites the community to tap into their kid at heart during the annual Be a Kid! fundraiser on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at RYSE, located at 3939 Bissell Ave., Richmond.

This is a 21+ event. Tickets are available now at rysecenter.org and at the door.

This year’s event, themed “Choose Your Frequency: Tuning Toward Possibility,” celebrates the different speeds and styles we all (young people and adults) need to build community together. The event will highlight various activities available at RYSE, encouraging guests to explore the transformative power of joy, play, and community connection. The event also features a roller skating rink and silent auction.

Guests will enjoy delicious, award-winning food catered by Understory and Reem’s California, adding a rich culinary experience to the evening.

Be a Kid! raises critical funds for RYSE’s Youth Emergency Fund, which has provided essential support to over 400 young people and their families since its inception in 2020. This fund directly aids transitional-age youth, youth in foster care, LGBTQ+ youth, and young people experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or exploitation. RYSE aims to sustain the fund at $300,000 for 2025 to continue filling social safety net gaps for young people in Richmond and West Contra Costa County.

RYSE’s Co-Founder and Executive Director, Kimberly Aceves-Iñiguez says, “When you make a donation to RYSE, you’re providing resources to young people who need it most. From emergency shelter to school supplies, the Youth Emergency Fund embodies community care for a generation growing up in unprecedented times.”

Don’t miss this chance to honor what it’s like to be a kid, make a difference, and support Bay Area youth. For tickets and more information, visit rysecenter.org.
