April 7-17: Guardrail Repair Work on Vasco Road

Brentwood, CA – The Contra Costa County Public Works Department will perform guardrail repair work on Vasco Road, between Camino Diablo and the Alameda County Line, from Monday, April 7, 2025, through Thursday, April 17, 2025, barring unforeseen circumstances. The work will occur between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. The work will be scheduled to minimize impacts on commute traffic. This work is to maintain traffic safety on Vasco Road.

Message boards will be posted to advise drivers the week before scheduled work begins. Traffic control will be used. Drivers should expect minor delays.


Willow Avenue Pedestrian Bridge Closure

Rodeo, CA – Contra Costa County Public Works will close the Willow Avenue Pedestrian Bridge over Rodeo Creek (Highway 80 and Willow Avenue) effective Thursday, March 27, 2025, to prepare for safety inspections and testing.  The bridge will remain closed for public safety until inspection and repairs are completed.

Signs have been placed to notify the public of the closure. Pedestrians are directed to use trail routes that exclude using the Pedestrian Bridge, including the Rodeo Creek Trail and Willow Avenue.
