The City of Lafayette announced that volunteer registration for the 4th Annual Lafayette Community Day opens on Monday, April 7. Register to join us at the 4th annual day of service and celebration.
Lafayette Community Day will be held on Saturday, May 3. Volunteers will gather at Lafayette Plaza at 8:30am, then go to their assigned project site to carry out activities such as gardening, picking up litter, painting, cleaning/organizing, and more!
Next, everyone will come back to the Plaza for lunch (catered by Rancho Cantina) including live music by Random Nature, games and community!
They will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Contra Costa & Solano Food Bank. The collection site at Lafayette Elementary School (950 Moraga Road) from 9 to 11:30am on May 3.

The Day’s Activities
7:00 AM
- Setup in the Plaza and at the Project Sites
8:30 AM
- All registered volunteers arrive at Lafayette Plaza and check in at the Welcome Table – receive a 2025 LCD T-shirt* and are directed to the appropriate Project Captain
- Registered volunteers can also pick up their T-shirt at the Chamber office ahead of time (May 1, 9 am – 4 pm; May 2, 9 am – 1 pm)
- Volunteers are asked to bring and donate nonperishable food items (Goal: Collect 200 food items)
- Coffee, Juice and breakfast treats will be served
9:00 AM
- Welcome comments, send-off rally, and group photo
9:15 AM
- Volunteers walk to their assigned Community Day Projects
9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
- Volunteer projects take place throughout Lafayette
11:00 AM
- Games and activities begin in the Plaza
- Local band starts playing, Random Nature
11:30 AM
- Everyone returns to the Plaza for the Celebration
- Lunch catered by local restaurant, Rancho Cantina for all registered volunteers and project hosts
12:00 PM
- Welcome-back comments, recognition, and Thank Yous
- Everyone enjoys lunch, music, games and activities, meets neighbors and new friends, and celebrates Lafayette
1:00 PM
