The Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office announced an arrest in a Bay Point shooting that occurred Monday.
On Monday, April 7, 2025, at about 3:09 PM, deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a report of a fight and shooting at a store on the 200 block of Bailey Road in Bay Point.
Deputies arrived on scene and found a gunshot victim. He was transported to a local hospital and appeared to be suffering from a non-life threatening wound. Deputies detained the shooter nearby and later arrested him after an investigation. He is identified as 32-year-old Alexander Pineda-Deltoro of Bay Point. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a loaded firearm, and probation violation. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
