Celebrate Earth Day with the Park District

by CC News
East Bay Regional Park District

Earth Day is close to the East Bay Regional Park District heart and mission to preserve and protect our natural resources here in the East Bay. Earth Day also provides an opportunity for visitors to give back to the parks they love.

This Saturday, April 19, visitors are invited to join staff and the community at an Earth Day volunteer event, enjoy Earth Day activities, or simply enjoy time in a nearby East Bay Regional Park. Every day is Earth Day in the Regional Parks!

Volunteer Opportunities
Each year, the Park District hosts multiple Earth Day volunteer events at locations across the District. Volunteer projects include shoreline clean-ups, removing invasive plants, sand dune restoration, habitat restoration, and trail work. Most projects welcome walk-up and drop-in volunteers, although some require pre-registration.
