Brentwood, CA — The Downtown Brentwood Coalition (DBC) is excited to announce the appointment of Kristen Mingus as its new Executive Director. A passionate community builder and connector, Kristen brings a wealth of experience and a deep love for Brentwood to her new role, where she is eager to foster relationships, grow engagement, and support local businesses and residents.
A proud Bay Area native, Kristen has called Brentwood’s Rose Garden neighborhood home for the past four years. Her affection for the town’s warm, small-town atmosphere and strong sense of community made it an ideal place for her to raise her children and lay down roots. With an unwavering commitment to community-driven initiatives, Kristen is poised to continue making downtown Brentwood a hub of inclusivity and connection.
“I’m thrilled to take on this role and serve the Brentwood community that I’ve grown to love over the past few years,” said Kristen Mingus. “My goal is to bring people together, build meaningful partnerships, and create lasting experiences that continue to make Downtown Brentwood a vibrant and welcoming place for everyone.”
Kristen’s community-focused journey began with her involvement in local schools. As an active member of the Marsh Creek Elementary and Isaac Montanez Elementary school communities, she helped organize successful events and fundraisers, including her role as a founding board member of the IME Parents Club. Kristen’s enthusiasm for bringing people together also extends to the nonprofit sector, where she previously worked at the Children’s Health Council in Palo Alto, helping support children on the autism spectrum.
Kristen’s professional background in digital marketing and event management complements her passion for community engagement. At 3Q Digital, a leading digital marketing agency in Silicon Valley, she successfully led large-scale events and campaigns for top Fortune 500 companies. Kristen’s extensive experience in managing high-performing teams and executing strategic projects makes her an excellent fit to drive the mission of the Downtown Brentwood Coalition forward.
When she’s not working to strengthen the heart of downtown Brentwood, Kristen can be found supporting local businesses, attending city events, and enjoying quality time with her family. Her commitment to Brentwood’s growth and success is fueled by her self-starter mentality, creativity, and a passion for making a difference. Kristen is excited to build upon the foundation already laid by the Downtown Brentwood Coalition and looks forward to engaging with residents, businesses, and community members to create events, partnerships, and initiatives that will continue to elevate the downtown experience.
“We are excited to welcome Kristen Mingus as our new Executive Director,” said Lynn Tei, President of the Downtown Brentwood Coalition. “Her expertise and passion for community, events and marketing make her the perfect fit to lead our organization and continue our efforts to make sure our historic Downtown Brentwood continues to thrive.”
