The Walnut Creek Police Department is investigating a traffic fatality that occurred early Saturday morning
According to police, at about 2:40 a.m., a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Ygnacio Valley Rd. and struck a tree just west of N. Main St. Unfortunately, the adult male driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The victim was the only occupant and there were no other vehicles involved in this collision. No further details are being released at this time.
