The Lafayette Police Department announced that a Fairfield man has been arrested for multiple burglaries.

According to police, earlier this month, an unknown person entered two local schools and stole multiple credit cards. Lafayette Police Department detectives conducted a thorough investigation and were able to identify the suspect vehicle and the suspect. The ongoing investigation by Lafayette police detectives revealed a pattern of burglaries across the region involving seven other cities and counties.

Lafayette detectives obtained a Ramey arrest warrant for the suspect for numerous counts of credit card fraud, identity theft, and burglary.

On Friday, April 25, 2025, the Lafayette Police Department, in collaboration with Vacaville PD, Marin County Sheriff’s Office, Dublin PD, and Danville PD, executed a series of search warrants at three separate residences. The coordinated operation led to the successful arrest of the suspect who is identified as 34-year-old Christopher Britton of Fairfield. He is currently being held in Marin County Jail.

During the execution of the search warrants, investigators recovered significant evidence and items believed to be linked to the ongoing investigations.

The Lafayette Police Department thanks the Marin County Sheriff’s Office and Vacaville Police Department, which had already been investigating the suspect, for their assistance, collaboration, and coordination during the investigation and arrest. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information on this case is asked to contact detectives at (925) 283-3680 or (925) 299-3234.
