On Thursday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a fire in a field on Lone Tree Way in the City of Brentwood.
According to preliminary information, upon firefighter arrival just after 7:15 pm, the fire was estimated at 1/4 acres at Lone Tree Way near O’Hara Avenue. However, the fire quickly spread to 1.5 acre. CONFIRE then updated it to 3-acres in size with no structures threatened. Additional resources were requested by 7:25 pm
The Brentwood Police Department and CHP were also on scene to provide traffic control and shut down a portion of Lone Tree Way.
By 7:42 pm, CONFIRE was getting reports the fire was up against Bonnie Lane. However, CONFIRE stayed the head of the fire was knocked down and forward progress was stopped.
7:49 pm update – forward progress stopped… fire estimated at 5-acres. Contained to field of origin. Crews will be on scene for next 60-90 minutes. Lone Tree Way still shut down!

- CENTRAL COUNTY, June 1, 2025– Clayton, Clyde, Concord, Lafayette, Martinez, Pacheco, Pleasant Hill, Rossmoor, Walnut Creek
- WEST COUNTY, June 1, 2025- East Richmond Heights, El Sobrante, North Richmond, San Pablo, unincorporated Pinole, Tara Hills, Montalvin Manor
