Pleasanton, Calif. – The Alameda County Fair has announced several brand new attractions for its 2025 Fair, which runs June 13 through July 6 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton.
On July 4-6, the Fair will feature a special Monster Truck show at the Michelob Ultra Grandstand. The “Monsters of Destruction” will showcase loud, fierce, and unpredictable Monster Trucks, as well as Tuff Trucks, Moto-X, and more.
For the animal enthusiasts, there will be camel rides offered daily at the paddock area near the Grandstand. For an additional fee, riders can take part in the rare opportunity to sit high atop a camel.
Over at the Midway, the Fair will showcase a new, out-of-this-world thrill ride called The Invader, an exhilarating attraction for those looking for a true adrenaline rush. Imported from the Netherlands and towering 45 feet high, this experience will leave fair-goers breathless. As the Invader begins to rise, the seats start spinning at an intense 24 RPM, creating powerful centrifugal forces. Riders will soar up, down, and all around with lights flashing and music pumping.
There will also be a new high-flying Trapeze show featuring eye-popping acrobatic stunts. The Fair has rolled out several new deals and promotions, including Throwback Thursday admission, with general admission only $11 until 5pm every Thursday of Fair. Additionally, on Wednesday, July 2, the Fair will offer General Admission for only $5.50 until 5pm. Tickets for those promotions are on sale now and during the Fair.
Many of the fan favorite features will return, including the All Alaskan Pig Races, nightly drone shows, Movies on the Lawn, and a Spectacular Drone + Fireworks show on June 13 and July 3. The Foodie’s Choice Awards Contest will also be back for a second year, featuring new and unusual culinary treats like the Cheeseburger Egg Roll, Bacon Pickle Pizza, and Hot Honey Chicken Fries. The interactive food contest allows fair-goers to vote in June for their favorite food item in two categories: Crazy New Item and Red White and Blue.
Tickets for The Romantics, performing June 15 in the Big O Tires Concert Series, are on sale to the general public Friday. All reserved concert seating, plus admission, parking, carnival wristbands, and more are discounted when you buy online through June 12, 2025.
“We are so excited to be offering thrilling new rides, entertainment, exhibits, food and fun to the Fair this year,” said Angel Moore, COO of the Alameda County Fairgrounds. “Our goal is to provide our guests with a unique experience that will provide lasting memories for years to come.”
