While several farms opened last weekend for cherry u-pick, Harvest Time in Brentwood announced this weekend many more farms will be hosting its opening weekend in the cherry orchards. From now until early June, cherry season is in full swing with farms opening new lots every week as new cherry varieties become available. This week, we are introducing three cherry varieties:
- Tioga Cherry: This variety offers a sweet crunch, dark flesh and a tangy finish. It’s moderate to large size makes it great for snacking.
- Coral Cherry: Loved by many, the coral variety is sweet and juicy with “pop” at the first bite. Corals are generously large making every bite satisfying.
