At 9:00 am Saturday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a train vs. pedestrian in the City of Antioch.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred in the area of Fulton Shipyard and Mc Elhenry with a train stopped. A medical helicopter was requested.
By 9:15 am, the victim was pronounced deceased and all resources were cancelled. CONFIRE has requested the railroad in both directions be shut down.
