The Concord Police Department released body-worn camera footage form an April 3 shooting in the City of Concord.
The video highlights a traffic stop when Eric Darrall Foreman, 37 of Richmond, got out of the vehicle and took off from police. At one point, Foreman raised the firearm at officers when officers opened fired. No one was hit, prompting Foreman to run again before police later located him hiding in a bush.

April 4 – Traffic Stop Led to Officer Involved Shooting in Concord
A 37-year-old Richmond man was arrested by Concord Police Thursday after a traffic stop led to an officer involved shooting in the City of Concord.
At around 10:15 pm Thursday, police responded to shots fired at a police officer in the area of Willow Pass and Clayton Road. Police quickly established a parameter with the help of neighboring agencies—the traffic stop occurred in the 1700 block of Ellis. The subject exited the vehicle and fled from police which resulted in shots being fired.
By 11:30 pm, Concord police had the suspect in custody after a brief pursuit which resulted in a K9 bite in the Grocery Outlet parking lot. The male received treatment by AMR and Contra Costa County Firefighters. The Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office and Pleasant Hill Police also assisted on the incident. The firearm used in the shooting was also recovered.
3:30 am Update – Concord Police
Earlier tonight, at about 10:11 PM, a Concord Police Officer made a traffic stop in the area of Clayton Rd. and Ellis St. The driver of the car exited and ran away on foot. During the foot chase of the driver, an officer involved shooting occurred. The driver was able to get away from officers and hid in the area of Sutter St. and Clayton Rd. With the assistance of the Contra Costa County Sherriff’s Office helicopter and K9 unit, the driver was taken into custody. The driver (a 37-year-old man from Richmond, CA) was found in possession of a firearm during his arrest.
