Contra Costa County, Marin County — Caltrans will be closing lanes on the of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge (I-580), Nightly starting Monday June 9th through Friday June 13th from 8PM until 5AM for maintenance work. The lane closures will begin from the Toll Plaza to the west end of the bridge in Marin County. One lane will remain OPEN at all times.
Lane Closure Details:
Monday-Friday 8PM until 5AM
- Eastbound (Lower Deck): Lane #2 and Lane #3 CLOSED
Wednesday Only 8PM until 5AM
- Westbound (Upper Deck): Lane #2 CLOSED
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to seek alternate routes or allow extra travel time.
Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable Message Signs (CMS) will alert drivers ahead of closures.
At least one lane will remain open in each direction during work hours.
Motorists should expect minor delays, reduce speed, and plan extra travel time.

Alameda and Contra Costa Counties – Caltrans has scheduled overnight closures of Bore 2 of the Caldecott Tunnel on Eastbound State Route 24 (SR-24) for tunnel washing and maintenance.
Starting Monday, June 16, 2025, through Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM each night. Bore 2 of the Caldecott Tunnel on State Route 24 (SR-24) for tunnel washing and maintenance. During the work, all other bores in each direction will remain open. All work is weather dependent.
