Updated: 4 Structures Catch Fire in Brentwood After Vegetation Fire Breaks Out

A vegetation fire in the City of Brentwood quickly spread to catch 4 structures on fire according to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.

According to preliminary information, a vegetation fire broke out in the 100 block of Sunrise Drive near Brentwood Blvd, however, when fire crews arrived on scene, the fire was in a field closer to Lone Tree Way. It was believed to be a large barn or outbuilding on fire.

By 1:58 pm, it was reported at least 2 homes were on fire according to the battalion chief on scene.

By 2:03 pm, it was reported that 4 homes/structures were on fire. Air drops from nearby helicopters were in progress. A second alarm fire response was requested

By 2:25 pm, CONFIRE confirmed they were on scene of a 2 alarm fire in Brentwood. Multiple outbuildings involved.

3:25 pm UPDATE: CONFIE reports that a total of 1 house with heavy damage, 3 sheds with heavy damage, 2 ADUs with heavy damage, 1 home moderate damage and 2 kennels damaged. A total of 6 adults have been displaced, Red Cross has been called to assist.
