The Richmond Police Department is actively investigating a series of recent sexual battery incidents that have occurred in the Point Richmond area. These assaults have taken place during daylight and early evening hours, primarily targeting individuals who were jogging or exercising alone.
Police said they understand that these incidents are deeply concerning and want to assure the public that we are dedicating all available resources to identify and apprehend the suspect.
Description of Incidents:
- The suspect has approached victims and made unwanted physical contact before fleeing.
- Most incidents occurred along popular walking and jogging paths, including the Point Richmond Tunnel and Keller Beach.
- The suspect is described as a black male adult who is 40-50 yrs old, 5’7” – 6’0” tall with an average build.
