The San Ramon Police Department and FBI are investigating a commercial burglary attempt at Target where an explosive device was used on an ATM machine.
According to police, on July 20 at 2:19 am, officers from the San Ramon Police Department responded to a commercial burglary at Target (2610 Bishop Dr) and upon their arrival, discovered an improvised explosive device had been used to gain entry to an ATM machine.
No one was injured due to the explosion, but damage was sustained to a portion of the store’s interior near the eastern public entrance. Due to the nature of this investigation, the FBI was contact, and they responded to the crime scene. The FBI will likely be processing the crime scene for the remainder of the day.
San Ramon Police said there was no immediate danger to the community and no innocent bystanders were injured.
