Brentwood Police Arrest Pair of Mail Thieves

On Tuesday, the Brentwood Police Department announced the arrest of a pair of mail thieves in the City of Brentwood.

According to police, just before 4:45 AM Tuesday, Brentwood officers responded to the Blossom Apartment complex in the 1100 block of Alder Creek Way for a report of mail theft.

Officers contacted 35-year-old Robert Cabrerapulos of Pittsburg and 42-year-old Tanis Wallunas of Concord. A search of their vehicle turned up more than 40 pieces of stolen mail from addresses throughout the area, along with burglary tools, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.

Both Cabrerapulos and Wallunas were arrested for burglary, mail theft, conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of burglary tools, drugs, and other related charges. They were transported and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.

Police said This arrest was the result of strong collaboration between our officers, advanced technology and the U.S. Postal Service. By working together, we were able to quickly stop those responsible and send a clear message; we will use every available resource to prevent crime and WE WILL CATCH YOU.
