This week, a visit with the new owners of the Pleasant Hill Market who are less than 30 days into renovation and rebuilding the market.
In speaking with Marshal and Sid, they are working to bring back to the market to become the neighborhood’s go-to spot for fresh produce, local goodies, and friendly faces. They aim to offer a wide variety of high-quality groceries, sourced from local farmers and suppliers–including breads, fruits and vegetables from local farms in Contra Costa County, including Brentwood corn. They will be bringing in locally made cookies, locally roasted coffee and wine and beers.
They also have locally roasted coffee from Berks Beans (Concord) for a delightful selection of Berk’s Beans Coffee, where every sip supports local businesses. Featured roasts include:
- Ethiopian Yirgacheffe – Floral notes with a fruity finish
- Colombia Supremo – Smooth and rich with a hint of caramel
- Breakfast in Paris – Perfect balance of light and smooth
- Morning Glory – Bright & refreshing to kickstart your day
- Decoy – Full-bodied with bold notes
- Italian Stallion – Intense and savory, a true classic
- Espresso Blend – Rich and robust for the perfect espresso shot or cup of coffee
- Summertime Blend – Light and breezy for summer vibes
