The Hercules Police Department announced the arrest of a Bay Point and a Pittsburg man in connection with multiple felonies.
Hercules Officers received a Flock camera notification for a 2010 Audi A4 listed as a felony vehicle in connection with carjacking, robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon wanted by the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).
An officer located the Audi entering westbound I-80 from John Muir Parkway and attempted a high-risk stop. The driver failed to yield, initiating a pursuit. The Audi exited before the PVR off-ramp and drove behind the freeway sound wall, becoming stuck in a ravine.
Both suspects, males, 26, from Bay Point and Pittsburg were detained without incident. The driver had a CDC Parole warrant and another from CCSO. CCSO responded to tow the vehicle and took custody of both suspects. Outstanding work by our officers and the technology that helped locate this felony vehicle. We have zero tolerance for anyone potentially coming into our city to commit crimes like carjacking, robbery, or assault with a deadly weapon.
The suspects were not identified by police.
