The Richmond Police Department announced they are investigating its second homicide of 2025 in the City of Richmond.
Richmond, California – On September 19, 2025, at 8:43 PM, the Richmond Police received a ShotSpotter activation in the 800 block of Lincoln Ave. They also began to receive reports of shots being fired, with someone being struck by gunfire.
Officers responded and located one victim, a male adult, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
RPD Homicide detectives responded and are investigating.
No arrests have been made at this time. This, unfortunately, marks the second homicide of the year for the City of Richmond.
