BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the SheltersÒ – the nation’s largest funded adoption event – returns this fall from October 1-15, 2025 including participation from Antioch Animal Services. This lifesaving initiative helps make adoption more affordable by sponsoring reduced fees of $70 or less. Since 2016, Empty the Shelters has helped more than 360,000 pets find loving homes.
Adoption fees will be waived during this event.

“Shelters continue to struggle in 2025, with more pets entering than leaving. Empty the Shelters is the nation’s largest funded adoption event and has helped more than 360,000 pets find homes across the country and in Canada since its inception in 2016. All pets are spay/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Each shelter has their own process – contact them for details.
