Martinez: Suspicious Package at Amtrak Station Prompts Bomb Squad Response

On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at approximately 1:09 pm, Martinez Police  Department received a report of a suspicious package at 601 Marina Vista at the Amtrak
Train Station. The Police Department immediately responded and secured the area.

The  Walnut Creek Police Department Bomb Squad responded along with Amtrak Police. After  an on-site analysis, it was determined the package was not an explosive device and the
area was cleared. The Martinez Police Department wants to thank the Walnut Creek  Police Department and Amtrack Police for their quick response.

Martinez Police thanked local businesses and citizens for their cooperation.
