The following is a sampling of the Pittsburg Police Calls reported between October 12-18 which focuses on the higher priority call responses in the  City of Pittsburg.

Seattle Murder Suspect Accidentally Released by Sheriffs Office

On October 18, California partner agencies arrested 20-year-old Isaiah Andrews and identified him as a wanted Seattle homicide suspect. After a vehicle pursuit involving the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, Antioch, CA PD, and Pittsburg, CA PD. Andrews was booked into Contra Costa County Jail on a temporary felony warrant for homicide.

Seattle Police Department Homicide detectives connected Andrews to an October 15 shooting in Northgate, he is suspected of killing a 20-year-old man.

He will be extradited to King County Jail and booked for Investigation of Murder.

However, while the Antioch Police Department and Pittsburg Police Department partnered on the arrest, the suspect was “accidentally” released while in custody at MDF by the Sheriffs Office. The Sheriffs Office has not offered any comment on the incident.
