Brentwood Veterans Day Parade
Join the City of Brentwood on Saturday, November 8 at 9:30 AM for the 2nd Annual Veterans Day Parade, a special event dedicated to honoring the men and women who have served our country.
Here’s how you can take part:
- March in the parade – Register at https://brentwood.info/Veterans-Parade
- Veterans Card Campaign – Write a heartfelt note of thanks to local veterans and drop off your card at the Brentwood Community Center by Nov. 1.
The parade concludes at the Veterans Hall, where you’re invited to a memorable ceremony hosted by local Veterans Service Organizations. The best parade viewing areas will be along First Street between Birch St. and Maple St. Portable restrooms will be available on Midway/Oak St (Helen Meyer Way) for your convenience.
12:00 pm: Brentwood VetJam Concert: The Veterans Service Organizations announce VETJAM 2025, this is its first concert and performance event which kicks off at 12:00 pm. You are invited to attend, connect with the veteran community, and enjoy the incredible music of the Austin Mo Experience. This Sacramento-based blues and rock band has been taking the West Coast by storm with their soulful classic rock sound, influenced by legends like Led Zeppelin and Bad Company. Austin Mo has been performing for over 10 years, and their show is a must-see event. Donations are welcome at the door but not required
November 11
Antioch: Join the Delta Veterans Group for a Veterans Day celebration and parade beginning at 9:00 am at the Veterans Memorial (5 Marina Plaza) in the City of Antioch. There will be a pancake breakfast hosted by the Antioch Rivertown Lions Club.

Brentwood: The Brentwood Veterans Service organizations along with the city of Brentwood, will be host to this year’s Veterans Day Ceremony honoring our veteran community. The event will be held at the Brentwood Veterans Park (3841 Balfour Rd) at 10:30 am. The public is encouraged to attend. During the ceremony there will be speeches, music, a rifle salute and the playing of TAPS.
Concord: The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1525 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1525 Auxiliary invite the community to join them on Tuesday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m. in Todos Santos Plaza to honor our nation’s veterans in observance of Veterans Day. This year’s ceremony will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and celebrate the 250th birthdays of the United States Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. Please join us as we pay tribute to the courage, service, and sacrifice of our local heroes.
Danville: Join Danville on November 11 at the Veterans Memorial Building for a Veterans Day of remembrance and community. The building will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an Open House and Museum for visitors to explore. At 11 a.m., a special Veterans Day Ceremony will honor those who have bravely served our country. The day concludes with a Diablo Mountain Beacon Lighting Ceremony at sunset, symbolizing gratitude and unity. Martinez: The City of Martinez, with the Martinez Veterans Commission, will be hosting two ceremonies on Veterans Day to honor and recognize those who have made many sacrifices for our freedom.
- 10am Flag raising at the Alhambra Cemetery
- 11am Flag raising and ceremony at Ignacio Plaza in front of City Hall

Moraga: A ceremony will be held at the Moraga Commons Veterans Memorial to celebrate Veterans Day beginning at 9:00 am. The ceremony will feature speakers in partnership with the Moraga Scout BSA Troops, Orinda-Moraga Girl Scouts, Saint Mary’s College and VFW Post 8063. It will also have refreshments on hand.
Oakley: Join the City of Oakley for its Veterans Day Ceremony from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Civic Center Plaza.Each year of Veterans Day, the City of Oakley hosts a ceremony recognizing all who have served with guest speakers, live performances and more. Pinole: Enjoy the City of Pinole’s 1st annual Veteran’s Day Celebration with a featured Flag Retirement Ceremony performed by Pinole Troop 82, veteran and community speeches, entertainment, and veteran resources and information on Tuesday, November 11th from 11am – 12:30pm at Fernandez Park.. Walnut Creek: The City of Walnut Creek invites residents and guests to one of its most cherished traditions, the Annual Veterans Day Ceremony. Hosted by Mayor Cindy Darling, the free event will be held at the Lesher Center for the Arts on the corner of Civic Drive and Locust Street. It begins at 11:00 a.m. and runs until noon.
The City of Walnut Creek will gather to acknowledge and thank all those who have served or are currently serving our nation to ensure our freedom. Mayor Cindy Darling has invited Mayumi Kimura, the Deputy Secretary at the office of Women Veterans Affairs, to speak. Before her current appointment, Ms. Kimura led a post-traumatic stress practice and served as a readjustment counselor serving veterans.
“One of the most important ways we can honor the sacrifices made by our veterans is to provide any support they might need, to show them that we value them and that we are there for them,” said Mayor Darling. “Since the end of the first World War, we have gained a deep appreciation for the challenges veterans can face and the ways we can help meet their physical and mental health needs.”
This year’s national theme is “Service to our Nation.”
As always, the Walnut Creek Concert Band will perform throughout the ceremony, including special recognition of each of our military branches. Thank you to the Concert Band under the direction of Matthew Sadowski for providing the patriotic score for the hour-long event. Thanks also to the professional staff of the Lesher Center for the Arts and other Walnut Creek staff members for bringing this special ceremony to the community.

East Bay Regional Park District Honoring Veterans: On Veterans Day — Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025 — the East Bay Regional Park District is honoring veterans, service members, and retirees with free park entrance. The fee waiver includes free parking and entry at all East Bay Regional Parks, including Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont. It does not include boat launch or inspection fees, fishing permits, or concessions, such as the Tilden Merry-Go-Round and Redwood Valley Railway steam train.
