Pleasant Hill Man Arrested in Drug Bust After Traffic Stop by Livermore Police

The Livermore Police Department announced a traffic stop led to a drug related arrest of a Pleasant Hill man on Saturday morning.

According to police, on November 8, 2025, around 1:00 a.m., Livermore Police Officers conducted a traffic stop after a driver failed to yield at a stop sign near Railroad Avenue and North Livermore Avenue. The driver, 22-year-old Daniel Sutton of Pleasant Hill, was the sole occupant. Officers saw cocaine in plain view and a half-pound of marijuana on the floorboard. Sutton admitted to having more drugs in his car and at his home.

A search of the car turned up a significant quantity of narcotics, including

  • 2 lbs. of Psilocybin (mushrooms)
  • Over 1 oz. of Cocaine packaged for sale
  • More than 2 oz. of MDMA (Ecstasy)
  • 100+ tabs of LSD
  • 35 Amphetamine pills
  • 100 THC vape pens
  • ½ lb. of Marijuana
A follow-up search of Sutton’s home in Pleasant Hill revealed:
  • 2 more lbs. of Psilocybin
  • 65 Amphetamine pills
  • 100+ tabs of LSD

Sutton was arrested on multiple felony drug charges, including transporting and possessing controlled substances for sale.

No other information was released by Livermore Police.
