24 Days of Contra Costa Businesses: Eight Acres Kitchen and Bar

On Thursday, Eight Acres Kitchen and Bar held its ribbon cutting event with the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce.

Located at 801 Foothill Drive, Eight Acres is the perfect location for holiday fun and elevating ones dining experience, or heading down below to the cellar for a fabulous drink – I personally like the Whiskey River (their version of an old fashion).

In terms of food, you can’t go wrong with the ahi tuna tostadas and for you non-seafood fans, try the chicken fried bites. For an entrée, any of their pizzas do the trick –the Forge Pepperoni is amazing! For a meal, go with the roasted half chicken or prime New York Steak.

The restaurant opened in August and is a wine country-inspired culinary destination nestled on eight acres of olive trees, grapevines, and organic herb gardens. Its the brainchild of  Michael Karp, veteran restaurateur and President of Le Bon Temps Restaurant Group, and renowned Bay Area chef Harrison Chernick, which offers a fresh take on wine country inspired comfort food, blending bold, seasonal flavors with the rustic elegance of a scratch kitchen.

Located at 801 Foothill Drive, Eight Acres will offer indoor and outdoor dining, weekend brunch, private event space, and a beverage program featuring local wines, classic cocktails, and house-made infusions. A standout feature: the twelve rotating draft beer taps showcasing the best of local craft brews.

Sean McCauley recruited Karp and his team to come to Brentwood while he was visiting Forge Napa which thankfully Karp accepted. In just a few months, Eight Acres has become a go to location that will provide anyone with a nice experience in the East Contra Costa Hills.
