Brentwood, CA – East County Performing Arts Center (ECPAC) proudly presents its 21st annual production of The Nutcracker, an enchanting holiday tradition beloved by families throughout East Contra Costa County. This year’s performances will take place December 19–21 at the Allen E. Jones Theater at Liberty High School in Brentwood, presented in partnership with the East County Performing Arts Foundation. A portion of ticket proceeds supports college scholarships for graduating seniors pursuing the performing arts.
For more than two decades, ECPAC has been committed to bringing world-class holiday entertainment to the local community—and this year’s production shines brighter than ever. Known for delivering the best Nutcracker performance in the area, ECPAC’s show features breathtaking costumes, stunning hand-crafted sets, and a level of artistry and production quality rarely seen outside major metropolitan theaters.
What truly sets this Nutcracker apart is ECPAC’s distinct and heartwarming twist on the classic story. In this version, Aunt Drosselmeyer steps into a pivotal role, guiding Clara through the Land of Sweets with wisdom, warmth, and a spark of magic. This creative shift adds depth, storytelling charm, and a uniquely memorable experience you won’t find in any other Nutcracker production.
