Unincorporated Orinda area, CA – The Contra Costa County Public Works Department has completed the Wildcat Canyon Road Slope Failure Repair Project, and the road is now open to all users. This project addressed an embankment failure and restored two-way traffic on Wildcat Canyon Road, specifically the section located between San Pablo Dam Road and Inspiration Point. The work involved repairing and restoring a 250-foot stretch of the road, which included constructing a soldier pile retaining wall with a safety railing, as well as making repairs to the roadway affected by the eroded embankment.

Funding for this project was provided by Federal Emergency Relief Funds and Local Road Funds.  To learn more information about this project, visit: Wildcat Canyon Road Slope Failure Repair | Contra Costa County, CA Official Website
