PLEASANT HILL — Pleasant Hill Vice Mayor Andrei Obolenskiy will host a community town hall with California State Sen. Tim Grayson on Friday, Jan. 16, at 5:30 p.m.
The town hall will provide residents an opportunity to hear legislative updates from Sen. Grayson and participate in a moderated question-and-answer discussion on issues affecting Pleasant Hill and the East Bay.
Topics are expected to include housing and land use policy, fire hazard maps and insurance availability, artificial intelligence oversight, energy and refinery transitions, and consumer and elder protections.
“The goal of this town hall is to create space for a productive, informative conversation between residents, city leadership and our state senator,” Obolenskiy said. “Community members deserve the opportunity to hear directly from their elected officials and ask questions about issues that affect their daily lives.”
Grayson, who represents California’s 9th Senate District, will provide an overview of legislative priorities and recent developments in Sacramento before taking questions from attendees. The discussion will be moderated to ensure all participants have an opportunity to be heard.
The event is open to the public.
