San Pablo, CA – On Friday, February 6, 2026, at approximately 9:57PM, San Pablo Police Officers responded to multiple ShotSpotter activations and reports of a shooting in the 14700 block of San Pablo Avenue.
Emergency medical services were immediately summoned as officers responded to the scene; upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his upper extremity. Despite life-saving efforts by responding officers and medical personnel, the victim tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
SPPD Detectives responded to the scene to assume the investigation. Both directions of traffic on San Pablo Avenue, between Lake Street and Rivers Street, were temporarily closed as SPPD Detectives processed the scene, and have since been reopened to through traffic.
