Embezzlement

  • 1/27 – Lone Tree Way: RP reporting employee confessed to embezzlement of approx $1,400.

Forgery/Fraud

  • 1/28 – Balfour Rd: RP WAS SCAMMED, WAS ADVD BY AN APPLE EMP THAT SOMEONE WAS HACKING INTO HIS ACCOUNTS SUSP TOOK $8,000 FROM RPS BANK ACCOUNT.
  • 1/29 – Ashford Pl: SUBJ OPENED CC IN RP’S NAME
  • 1/29 – Second St: SOMEONE STOLE HER NEW CC THAT WAS MAILED TO HER IN DEC / TOTAL APPROX $14,0000.

Grand theft

  • 1/24 – Lone Tree Way: ELECTRIC BIKE WAS TAKEN FRM INSIDE THE BUSN, BIKE IS APPRX 2K.

Petty Theft

  • 1/25 – Balfour rd: BMA LSW/WHI SWEATSHIRT, JEANS WALKED OUT W/ ALCOHOL WITHOUT PAYING FOR IT
  • 1/26 – Sand Creek Rd: AM/HM LSW BLK PANTS, BLK HOODIES, BLK HAT W/GOLD BILL AND TWO “S” ON IT, SUNGLASSES TOOK $120 WORTH OF MERCH
  • 1/26 – Lone Tree Way: SUBJ WALKED OUT WITH 2 DEWALT POWER TOOL BATTERIES ABOUT $500 HMA LSW/BLU POLO SHIRT, BLU JEANS DGRY OR BLU HOND ACC W/ X DRIVER.
  • 1/26 – Lone Tree Way: BMA, 30S, BLK BLUE HOODIE, BLK BLUE HAT, BLUE SWEATS, NO WPNS LEFT STORE W/ $159 IN MERCH. SUBJ LEFT IN A GRY DODGE JOURNEY
  • 1/28 – Bonita Way: CHILDS MOTHER WAS STAYING AT RPS HOME AND WHILE THERE FEM TOOK COURT DOCUMENTS AND OTHER PAPERSWORK.

Vandalism

  • 1/24 – Andalucia Ln: RP’S HARLEY WAS PARKED IN HIS GRAGE, WHICH WAS CLOSED, AND WHEN HE CAME OUT HIS MOTORCYCLE HAD BEEN “KEYED”. APPROX 3-4k IN DAMAGE

Vehicle Theft

  • 1/25 – Summer Cir: UTILITY TRAILER 14 FT.
  • 1/28 – Brentwood Blvd: BMA JUST DROVE OFF IN A VEH WITHOUT PERMISSION
    VEH/GRN FORD F150 LOWERED WITH AN EXHAUST
  • 1/28 – Officer initiated activity at Hudson Dr/Lexington St, Brentwood, CA
  • 1/30 – Hudson Dr: TAN 2006 CHEV SIL DUALLY W/RACKS- ALL KEYS ACCOUNTED FOR.
  • 1/30 – Independence St: TOOK HER VEH W/ OUT PERMISSION, TOOK THE KEYS WHEN SHE WASNT LOOKING. VEH IS A WHI NISSAN ALTIMA W/ TAPE ON THE TRUCK W/ OUT PERMISSION AND DOESNT HAVE A DL

Recent Headline:

  • Video: Brentwood Police Release Video from Fatal Officer Involved Shooting:  The Brentwood Police Department is releasing a Critical Incident Video related to the officer-involved shooting that occurred on December 24, 2025. At approximately 10:55 p.m., Brentwood Police Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Balfour Road and Foothill Drive for suspicion of DUI. The driver identified as Romaine Morgan, a 43-year-old male from Stockton, California was the only occupant in the vehicle.
  • Brentwood Provides Update on Investigation Regarding The Yolanda Ramirez Case: On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at a legally noticed special Council meeting, Mayor Susannah Meyer reported that the City Council and the Brentwood Police Department remain fully committed to cooperating with the independent investigation being conducted by the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. The investigation is independent, and it is essential that it be allowed to proceed thoroughly, objectively, and without interference. Out of respect for the integrity of the investigative process and for the Ramirez family, the City of Brentwood and the Brentwood Police Department will not speculate or comment on matters currently under review.
