Sheriffs Report: Arrests Up in Contra Costa County in 2025

On Tuesday, Contra Costa County Sheriff David Livingston provided its oversight report for 2025 at the Board of Supervisors Meeting.

According to 2025 data, bookings at the Martinez Detention Facility were up by 1,203  (15,903 in 2025 compared to 14,700 in 2024). Meanwhile, custody alternative bookings increased from 1,794 in 2024 to 2,076 in 2025. — see full report

In terms of recidivism, (same individual was booked two (2) or more times during the specified time frame), the sheriff reported it was 8.87% for 2025.
