The City of Lafayette announced that the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce has announced dates for their 2026 Signature Events! Mark your calendars for a year packed with community fun, local flavor, and can’t-miss experiences:
- Artisan Walk – May 9
- May 19 – Taste of Lafayette Restaurant Stroll: Lafayette’s Favorite Dinner Party – The “Taste of Lafayette” Restaurant Stroll! Friends, Food & Entertainment – 20+ Participating Restaurants. The “stroll” begins when ticket holders head out at their own pace with friends to stop at any or all of the participating restaurants for sampling. Evening includes music and supports the Community Foundation of Lafayette.
- June 5, 12, and 26: Rock the Plaza Concert Series: Featured bands & performers: June 5 – Jimbo Scott and Yesterday’s Biscuits, June 12 – The Kyle Athayde Dance Party, & June 26 – Lamorinda Idol Finalists
- August 15: Sidewalk Sale
- September 19& 20: Lafayette Art & Wine Festival: The Chamber’s signature event, Lafayette Art & Wine Festival, will be held September 19 & 20, 2026. It is one of the largest weekend events in Contra Costa County. Over 65,000 visitors attend, strolling among the art and handmade crafts, sampling foods from top local restaurants, and enjoying quality wines and microbrews. Non-stop musical entertainment is available on four stages throughout the weekend for a block party ambiance. The “Premier Pavilion” offers local tastes including wines from our own Lamorinda Wine Growers. The event also includes four Kid Zones and a Local Artists Alley.
- October 18: Lafayette Res Run for Education: The Lafayette Chamber and the City of Lafayette are co-sponsors of the Lafayette Res Run for Education. In 2025 the 32nd annual Lafayette Res Run for Education brought together just under 2,200 runners and raised $37,611 for beneficiary checks to our local public schools as a result of this highly successful community event.
- October 24: Witch Way to Mocktails
- October 30: Trick or Treat Street: For a fun, safe Halloween event, children and their parents are invited to Trick-or-Treat at participating merchants along Mt. Diablo Blvd. from Lafayette Plaza to Dewing Ave, Lafayette Circle and La Fiesta Square. This free community event is typically the Friday evening prior to Halloween.
- November 17: Community Thanksgiving Breakfast: Join business owners, residents and community leaders on Tuesday, November 17, 2026 for breakfast from 7-8:30am at the Lafayette Veterans Memorial Center.
- December 4: It’s A Wonderful Life in Lafayette Holiday Celebration: This fun and festive event includes a free visit with Santa, free train rides on the Lafayette Express, official holiday tree lighting ceremony, one-of-a-kind photo ops, live musical entertainment, crafts, holiday treats and more! Arrive early to see Santa’s arrival and plan to stay in downtown Lafayette for dinner! This is a free community event sponsored by the Dana Green Team and Branagh Development.
