Pleasanton, Calif. – The Alameda County Fair returns June 19 through July 12 in Pleasanton decked out in red, white, and blue to “Celebrate Summer”, as well as honor America’s 250th anniversary.

Opening Weekend kicks off on Friday, June 19 with new crazy Fair food concoctions to vote on, a dazzling fireworks and drone show, the return of Demolition Derby on Saturday and Sunday, a special 9/11 memorial and The Gene Simmons Big O Tires Concert.

Guests will be able to pay homage to the lives lost on September 11 by viewing the special installation, 25 Year Remembrance of September 11, which features an actual piece of the Twin Towers structure and tributes to the New York City’s Memorial Park. The memorial will be on display during the entire run of the Fair.

The Fair will commemorate America’s 250th anniversary by sealing a 2026 time capsule documenting its community impact, agricultural roots, and current staff stories. The capsule will be preserved and opened in 2076.

Thrilling Action Sports will take place at the Michelob Ultra Grandstand, starting with the return on Demolition Derby on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21. On June 26-28, there will be a special Monster Truck show followed by Arena Cross on July 3 and 5. The final weekend show is Tractor Pulls July 10-12.

The Big O Tires Concert Series has already announced several big headliners, with more notable names on the way. Flo Rida, The Beach Boys, Twist on Taylor, Tower of Power, Boyz II Men and the first DJ show, Cheat Codes, will hit the stage with a variety of acts for every music lover.

On July 4th, the celebration at the Fair will feature patriotic special events, the annual Blues Festival, and will conclude with a Fireworks and Drone Spectacular Show over the Michelob Ultra Grandstand. Parking and Admission gates will close early, and a chaperone policy will be in effect that day requiring anyone under 17 to be accompanied by an adult 25 and up.

Returning again this year is the ever popular Foodie’s Choice Awards, a food competition boasting a wide array of food vendors vying for the top prize. A few of the new entries this year include the Spam Wonton Taco, the Pickled Corndog, and the “Elvis Presley” sandwich featuring sliced sourdough, peanut butter, sliced bananas, and bacon. Guests can vote for their favorite from June 19 through July 5 and the winner will be crowned July 8 so guests can try the winning treats before Fair ends.

The Alameda County Fair continues to give back with several community drives and special deal days which offer either free or discounted admission. On June 24, the Fair will host its pet food drive and on July 1, it will host its “Feed the Need” food drive. Both offer free admission and $1 rides until 5pm for those who bring donations.

The “Pint for a Pass” Blood Drive with the Red Cross began March 1 and will run until June 1. Anyone who donates blood at an Alameda County Red Cross location will receive one free general admission to the Fair, redeemable through July 3.

“The Alameda County Fair is where generations come together,” said Angel Moore, COO of the Alameda County Fairgrounds. “It’s a place where our community of different cultures, backgrounds, and traditions gathers to have fun and celebrate what makes Alameda County so special.”

The Alameda County Fair is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 12pm-11pm. For tickets, schedules, and additional information, visit alamedacountyfair.com.
