Concord Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Pittsburg: On February 26th, 2026, at approximately 4:30 P.M., Pittsburg Police officers responded to the area of Buchanan Road and Woodborough Place in the City of Pittsburg for the report of a traffic collision between a motorcyclist and a sedan. Upon arrival, officers found the motorcyclist, a 46-year-old resident of Concord, had sustained significant injuries. Officers and medical personnel attempted life saving measures on the motorcyclist, but unfortunately, he did not survive. The driver of the sedan, a 37-year-old resident of Pittsburg, remained on scene and was uninjured. It was later determined that the driver of the sedan had been operating his  vehicle while under the influence, and he was subsequently taken into custody.
