Patrick Tang Named Hercules Interim City Manager

At the March 3 City Council meeting, the City of Hercules unanimously appointed Patrick Tang as interim city manager.

According to the city, Tang served as Hercules’ city attorney from 2011 through 2024. His background with Hercules and deep connection to the community will help ensure a smooth transition while the City continues serving its residents. Patrick will officially begin in this role on March 24, while the City conducts the recruitment and onboarding process for a permanent city manager.

City of Hercules City Manager Steps Down After Nearly Five Years of Service

Hercules, Calif. – Hercules City Manager Dante Hall has announced he is stepping down as City Manager after nearly five years of dedicated service to the Hercules community. He has accepted an offer to serve as City Manager for the City of Monterey. His tenure concludes this spring and his resignation is effective March 23. As the City begins this transition, it recognizes Hall’s significant success and lasting impact on the Hercules community.

“Serving the City of Hercules has been one of the greatest honors of my career,” said City Manager Dante Hall. “It has been my privilege to work with the dedicated people of Hercules and collaborate with individuals who care passionately about this community. I am especially grateful to the City Council, staff and residents for their trust and support.”
