Concord: 4 People Hospitalized After Hazardous Spill

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a hazardous materials response in the City of Concord on Monday which resulted in four people being sent to the hospital.

The call came in just before noon on Monday on Bisso Lane in concord. The district said it was an “accidental spill” of organo phosphorus. At the time, two people transported with moderate exposure.

By 3:00 pm, Contra Costa County Fire reported a total of 4 patients had been transported, 2 firefighters. They also said the chemical has been isolated. Crews will remain on scene for an extended time.

As of 5:30 pm, crews were still on scene.
