Contra Costa Animal Services Now Open 7-Days a Week

Contra Costa Animal Services announced this week it is now open for business seven days a week.

With Sunday and Monday openings, this marks the first time in animal services history they will be open every day of the week

According to its monthly stats, they have had a total of 880 intakes – including 632 dogs, 229 cats and 19 other animals. They have also had 965 outcomes – which include 417 adoptions.

According to animal services, Sunday and Monday hours will be 10AM to 5PM, giving the public more opportunities to visit, adopt a pet, or reconnect with a lost furry family member.

Hours:

• Sunday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Monday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Tuesday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Wednesday: 10 am to 7:00 pm (call center 10:00 am to 5:00 pm)
• Thursday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Friday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Saturday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Please Note: While we will be open to the public on Sundays and Mondays, our team will focus our efforts on serving customers who come to our shelter and therefore we will not be answering our non-emergency phone lines on those days.
