On Sunday, May 3, the residency continues with a rare collaboration between Tolling and internationally celebrated Italian guitarist Peppino D’Agostino. Known as one of the world’s finest acoustic guitarists, D’Agostino joins Tolling for a program that spans genres and continents, featuring original compositions and inspired interpretations of artists ranging from Django Reinhardt and Astor Piazzolla to The Beatles and Stevie Wonder.

Adding a special community highlight to the program, Antioch Strolling Strings 2.0 will also perform. This revitalized ensemble welcomes string players of all ages and continues a local legacy that began in 1984, providing musicians with opportunities to grow beyond traditional school programs. The group brings together passionate performers from across the East Bay, creating a vibrant and inclusive musical experience that celebrates community and collaboration.

The series concludes on Sunday, June 7 with a vibrant Jazz & Blues Fusion concert featuring local favorite Frankie G, a longtime Antioch blues guitarist known for his passionate and electrifying performances. This final program celebrates both global artistry and local talent, blending blues, jazz, and contemporary influences into a high-energy musical experience.

Mads Tolling, originally from Copenhagen and now based in the Bay Area, is an internationally renowned violinist and composer. A former member of Turtle Island Quartet and Stanley Clarke’s band, and a current performer with Bob Weir & Wolf Bros, Tolling has earned two Grammy Awards and widespread acclaim for his genre-crossing artistry and innovative approach to the violin.

“This residency shines a spotlight on Antioch,” said Sharon Sobel Idul, Board President. “It pairs internationally recognized artists with the incredible musicians in our own backyard, creating something truly special for our community.”

Tickets for all performances are now available. Audiences can receive 15% off tickets through April 10 using promo code SPRING when purchasing online.
