OAKLAND, Calif. — Earth Day is a special day for the Park District, an annual reminder to cherish, preserve, and protect vital natural resources. Celebrate Earth Day by spending time in nature: enjoy a hike or ride, plan a picnic, or volunteer at one of the Park District’s clean-up opportunities (see locations below). Don’t miss this month’s Earth Day programs taking place at locations throughout the Park District; for information visit ebparks.org/we-celebrate/earth-day.Volunteer Opportunities
Each year, the Park District hosts multiple Earth Day volunteer events at various parks. Volunteer projects include shoreline and beach clean-ups, removing invasive plants, gardening, and trail work.
