On Thursday, the Antioch Police Department announced it has launched a new Flock Transparency Portal, now available online.
According to police, the effort is aimed at keeping the community informed. This portal gives residents clear insight into how Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology is used in our community—including privacy safeguards, data retention policies, and authorized use. This is part of our ongoing effort to balance public safety with accountability and openness. We encourage all residents to explore the portal, learn more about the technology, and stay engaged in how it supports crime prevention while protecting individual privacy.
Antioch currently has 17 FLOCK cameras with data being retained for 30 days. Data is used for law enforcement purposes only. Data is owned by Antioch CA PD and is never sold to 3rd parties.
