We talk about the upcoming fair on May 14-17, 2026. We talk about the theme, “Wild About the Fair” and what new attractions are coming. Cheyenne shares here background, what she hopes the changes bring for the community and how they hope the fair will reach all of Contra Costa County—including bringing a rodeo, pig races, wiener dog & corgi races, exotic live animals and a new music lineup, including other day promotions. She also talks about the exhibitors, food, livestock and livestock auction.

Contra Costa County Fair Details
May 14-17, 2026 and this event will be located right here at the fairgrounds. Our address is 1201 W. 10th St., Antioch, CA.
- May 14 – 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm
- May 15 – 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm (rodeo night)
- May 16 – 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm (motorcycle races)
- May 17 – 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm
The fair story begins in January of 1859, when local agriculturists and community leaders organized the Contra Costa County Agricultural, Historical & Mechanical Society, establishing the county’s first county fair in October 11, 1859! Nearly 80 years later, in 1937 the 23rd District Agricultural Association assumed responsibility of this great undertaking, bringing us to today, nearly 90 years later and we’re going stronger than ever!
