ANTIOCH, CA — On April 21, 2026, the City of Antioch launched Rivertown Free Wi-Fi, a free public wireless network now available across several city blocks in historic Rivertown.
The new network is intended to support residents, visitors, and small businesses by expanding access to free internet in the downtown area and strengthening digital connectivity within the community. The service is also expected to support economic development by making free internet access available to those visiting Rivertown.
“This new Public Wi-Fi program is an important step forward in ensuring that all members of our community have access to the tools they need to succeed in today’s digital world,” said Brad Helfenberger, Information Systems Director. “By expanding free internet access in public spaces, we are investing in connectivity, opportunity, and the overall well-being of our residents.”
