About the Summer Bike Challenge
Free, fun, and healthy, the Summer Bike Challenge is a family-friendly outdoor activity suitable for people of all ages. Offered in all 19 Contra Costa cities, the program motivates residents to explore their towns by bike, getting exercise and collecting prizes in the process. The program features a bingo-style game card with bikeable destinations. The program is designed to give the public a focused opportunity to experience the fun and ease of bicycling to local destinations and demonstrates to participants that biking can easily replace the use of a vehicle for local trips.
