Antioch Farmer Market Returns May 10

Antioch, CA — The Antioch Farmers’ Market returns to the Rivertown District for its second season on Sunday, May 10th from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

After a strong first year, the market is quickly establishing itself as a Sunday fixture that brings together local farms, fresh healthy food, and community in the heart of Rivertown.

This year, Opening Day falls on Mother’s Day, making it an ideal outing for families! The market will feature a special Mother’s Day themed kids craft activity, along with face painting, balloon art and a spinning wheel with prizes!

This season brings both returning favorites and exciting new additions. Triple Delight Blueberries joins the market with fresh-picked blueberries, alongside Moreno Farms. Led by Lupe Moreno, a farm worker for over 25 years, Moreno Farms is the realization of a life-long dream to operate his own farm and grow vibrant organic vegetables for the community.

Peak spring fruit will be front and center on Opening Day. Rodriguez Bros Farm will offer organic, vine-ripened strawberries from Watsonville, while Resendiz, J&J Ranch, and Perez Brothers Farm will have cherries at the height of their early season. Perez Brothers will also feature freshly pressed cherry juice!

With more farms, more variety, and a growing customer base, the second season reflects the market’s rapid momentum and its role in supporting regional agriculture. “We saw such a strong response last year that we planted even more of those delicious yellow and orange watermelon varieties for this season,” said Issac Ledesma of Ledesma Farms. “The demand at this market is real, and we’re excited to bring an even better crop back to Antioch!”

The Antioch Farmers’ Market is conveniently located with free nearby parking available within walking distance.
