Pittsburg Car Shows and First Fridays Return

The City of Pittsburg announced a series of upcoming events, including the return of its Thursday Car Shows and First Fridays events.


May 23: Pittsburg Cares 5K Fun Run/Walk

The City of Pittsburg invites the community to join Pittsburg Cares 5K Fun Run/Walk in an effort to raise awareness and normalize mental health issues for those needing support or not addressing them due to lack of knowledge and resources. Runners to meet at John Buckley Square (525 Railroad Ave) — sign up.


June 5: School’s Out for the Summer

Kick off the start of summer at Small World Park with live performances, hands-on activities, community resources, and fun for the whole family on June 5 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm (2551 Harbor St, Pittsburg). May 28 – Aug 27: Car Show

For over 20 years, the Old Town Pittsburg Car Show has been a downtown tradition, happening every Thursday throughout the summer. The streets of Old Town come alive with classic, vintage, and custom vehicles, accompanied by lively music, food, and community energy — located on Railroad Ave from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  The Car Show offers something for everyone. Admire beautifully restored cars, chat with passionate owners, and snap photos of your favorite rides. Live music and a festive atmosphere make downtown Pittsburg buzz with excitement each week. More than just a car show, this event is a celebration of community. For two decades, it has brought people together, strengthened local connections, and provided a safe, fun, and exciting experience for families and friends alike. May 30 – Pittsburg PD Classic Car Show

Join the Pittsburg Police Department for its Classic Car Show on Saturday, May 30, 2026.  The registration will not exceed 200 vehicles. Registered vehicles will be allowed entry between 8:30 – 11 a.m. and the show will start at 11 a.m. A $20.00 registration fee will be paid at the gate upon check in as a donation to the Pittsburg Police Activities League (PAL). Payment will be accepted via cash or Venmo.
